WV TSA held their annual Spring Conference from April 5 to 7, 2001 at Cedar Lakes in Ripley, WV. TSA students had the opportunity to enter events and gauge their abilities against other members from around the state in areas such as science, technology, and leadership. An overall attitude of friendly competition pervaded the conference allowing members the chance to meet new people and grow closer to their own chapters.
At the business meeting, revisions to the WV TSA Constitution were accepted. These changes will bring WV TSA’s constitution into accordance with the National TSA Constitution.
There was at least one candidate for every position on the executive board. Congratulations to all the candidates for showing a desire to serve our organization on a higher level. The 2001-2002 WV ISA officer team will consist of the following members: President Leslie Pierson from Clay High School, Vice President Meghan Phillips from Magnolia, Secretary Lindsay Legg from Clay High School, Treasurer Joel Tranko from Wheeling Park, Reporter Christina Martin from Morgantown HS, and Sergeant at Arms Alex Hemmelgarn from Clay Middle School.
Best of luck to everyone who chooses to attend the National TSA conference. Represent West Virginia well in Richmond!
