The 2005 Spring Conference carried out the theme: "A Legacy of Leaders".
The state officers this year chose a black and white color scheme that
was used for the walls, tables, programs, and even nametags.
The officers performed an opening skit of a Jeopardy game show, starring
John Semmens "Trebeck". Later that night, the assembly hall held the
"Night at the Races"—where students got to see the dragsters race
against each other, eat food, and mingle with the other conference
attendees.
This year, WV TSA hosted a new event, known as the F1 in Schools
competition. There were four teams that participated in the F1
competition that was held on Friday, and the awards were handed out at
the banquet. Two middle schools that did not have TSA chapters also
competed; these schools were South Charleston Middle School and
Doddridge County Middle School.
Finally, on the last day of the annual TSA conference, awards were
handed out. Students took home first, second, and third place trophies,
and also won the chance to attend the 2005 National Conference held in
the Sheraton Hotel and Towers of Chicago, Illinois.
